DAB/DAB+ Rebroadcast Head End 174-230MHz

DAB174230-1 / DAB174230-2

The DAB174230 series provides the rebroadcast of DAB and DAB+ VHF Band III (174-230MHz) broadcast signals. They provide an RF output for connection to external RF power Amplifiers (PA174230 models) and are suited to single-bore, multi-bore or multi-zone tunnel, in-building and other rebroadcast applications. These units feature break-in audio message storage, audio break-in interface, and dry-relay and SNMP status monitoring and alarm outputs. The DAB174230-1 is configured for one ensemble rebroadcast and the DAB174230-2 for two ensembles rebroadcast. Multiple DAB174230 units can be implemented within a design to rebroadcast more than two ensembles when required.

The DAB174230 series can be used to receive DAB or DAB+ Broadcast signals off-air, and re-generate and amplify them to fixed RF output levels.

The DAB174230-1 provides the rebroadcast of one DAB or DAB+ ensemble, and the DAB174230-2 provides the rebroadcast of two DAB or DAB+ ensembles. Multiple DAB174230 units can be implemented within a design to rebroadcast more than two ensembles when required. One RF output is provided for rebroadcasting signals into a tunnel bore. Two (or more) units may are required for multi-bore and multizone applications (such as two separate "bores" in a road tunnel).

An "audio break-in" feature enables live or pre-recorded messages to interrupt the rebroadcast transmissions on all stations in all ensembles being rebroadcast , allowing for public address or incident management messages to be broadcast. Break-in messages may be stored within the unit, interfaced via analogue audio inputs, or interfaced via (optional) VOIP. A comprehensive integral webserver GUI provides configuration and status display of the unit's comprehensive functionality and performance monitoring.
