POI’s (Point-of-Interface) or Multiband Combiners are used to combine any number of radio communication services into a single antenna feeder or antenna distribution system (DAS).

POI’s are typically built using low loss, high selectivity filters to provide good isolation between the respective coupled services whilst ensuring interface losses are minimised.

Design considerations in the filters and components used in POI’s include the use of filters that generate low Passive Inter-Modulation products in a multicarrier application and are adequately rated for the required PIP (Peak Instantaneous Power) where medium to high power multicarrier services are required.

Typical applications include the combining of multiple services from either a single operator to a multi-operator environment at places such as airports, train stations and platforms, exhibition and conference centres, stadiums, tunnels, campuses and large buildings where co-habited coverage is required.
